Career Counselling Process

Introductory Call

The free 30 minute introductory call is a chance for us to determine if we are happy to work together.*

I'll ask you what brought you to contact me and what you hope to achieve. I'll also explain the process, as well as answer any questions you have.

* I won't be offended if you decide I'm not right for you. It’s entirely your choice and I whole-heartedly support that. Oh, and if I don't think I am the best person to help you, I will do my best to point you in the right direction.

Stage 1

In the first stage, we define objectives, so that we are clear on what you want to achieve during our time together. We also start to explore what makes you YOU, using a range of tools to aid the process.

"Jill has a very intuitive set of skills – she combines an intelligent approach with a great deal of sensitivity and empathy.” - M K

Stage 2

In the second stage, we dig deeper, explore more and start to clarify and validate your thinking.

"By the end of the second session, I felt a sense of clarity forming. Jill really helped me to see things a lot more clearly. The activities she gave me to do between meetings were thought-provoking and by talking them through in the sessions, enabled me to not only gain clarity, but also a deeper understanding of myself, which was actually very comforting." - O L

Stage 3

During stage 3, we explore ideas and options and take a step into a future world!

"I found that after the third session, I was really able to build a picture of how I wanted my world to be; not just work, but how it fitted in with other areas of my life. Jill helped me to be very specific on what I wanted, so that I can now focus on achieving it." W J

Stage 4

The final stage is a chance to validate your ideas and to create an action plan. It's also a chance to spend time addressing any areas of concern so that you can move forward confidently.

"I felt refreshed and revitalised with a new sense of purpose. Having the time and space to reflect on my career when I had been feeling unhappy for over a year, was by far the best decision I made. I now feel happy, comfortable and confident about my future." J S
